(This event is in-person, but a recording will be made available post-event)
In spite of growing awareness of sex workers’ humanity, the last few years have seen a rapid decline of funding for sex worker movements. But sex workers and other grassroots movements are not giving up. We will share the latest research on how sex workers are affected by recent cuts to foreign aid and foundation budgets. Then we will hear from sex worker leaders and their funders about how they are persevering in this moment, including new innovations in fundraising and advocacy. The speakers and audience will develop a list of recommendations for funders, activists and allies.
